“Stelios Orphanoudakis” Meeting Room

The FORTH BoD meeting room is equipped with a high quality 10 seater wooden oval table with leather seats, placed in the centre of the room, as well as, 6 rectangular 12 seater tables in U layout, placed perimetrically. There are also 18 extra leather chairs around the room. It also includes an extra table for coffee and snacks.
The room is also equipped with a telephone, projector, microphone system, video-teleconferencing and audio-video recording systems.

Stelios Orphanoudakis (1948 - 2005) was a pioneer in the research and development of Information Society Technologies. He was Professor of Informatics at the University of Crete and Director of the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH from 1994 to 2004. He also served as President of FORTH (2004-2005).
