The Meeting Room "Vassilios Dougalis" is equipped with 80 seats with individual tables in a traditional classroom layout. It also includes a ceiling mounted projector and a 3 seater speakers panel.
Extra tables are available to be placed outside the room for coffee and snacks, upon request.

Vassilios Dougalis (1949-2022) served as Vice-Director (1985-2004) of the Institute of Applied and Computational Mathematics of FORTH and Director of IACM between 2004-2016. He was also appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of FORTH (2009-2010, 2011-2016), and as Chairman of the Board of Directors (2010-2011). In the last forty years, Prof. Vassilios Dougalis was the leading Numerical Analyst, and one of the most influential mathematicians in Greece.
