FORTH has created the appropriate mechanisms for enabling commercialization of the innovations produced in its research laboratories.
FORTH’s Technology Transfer Office (ΤΤΟ) actively supports researchers to enhance the impact of their research activity, through the exploitation of mature research results. Research outcomes can be further exploited through licensing agreements, creation of spin-off companies and provision of specialized services to the private and public sector. It provides support and mediation services to all researchers who wish to commercialize their research results, as well as, to Greek and foreign companies with technological needs that can be addressed by FORTH’s research activity. It has also developed active links and communication channels with the business community and research organisations in Greece and abroad.
FORTH’s Technology Transfer Office is a Unit of FORTH/PRAXI Network, the leading technology transfer and innovation support organization in Greece, and operates in close collaboration with the Science and Technology Park of Crete, offering excellent housing opportunities to FORTH’s spin off companies.

PRAXI Network’s headquarters are located in Athens with presence in 4 more cities in the country: Thessaloniki, Heraklion, Volos and Patras.
The Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) is located on FORTH’s main campus in Heraklion, acting as an incubator for highly innovative start-up and spin –off companies.
