In the framework of the Celebrations of the 40^th anniversary of FORTH, the Gender Equality and anti-Discrimination Committee organized an event entitled "40 years of FORTH: Honoring Women in Research". The event took place on FORTH’s premises in Heraklion, Crete, on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 and the Deputy Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Mrs. Maria-Alexandra Kefala, extended a greeting.

Speeches were delivered by researchers and Collaborating Faculty Members of the Foundation, as well as by Researchers/Professors who have worked at FORTH either as PhD candidates and/or postdocs and who now hold positions of responsibility and academic positions in Research Centers, Universities or companies in Greece and abroad. The speeches were followed by a presentation of commendations to Researchers and Employees of the Foundation, who are among FORTH’s senior staff members.
