STEP-C: Supporting Young Entrepreneurship in the Region of Crete

The Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C), of the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH), continues its collaboration with Slovenia's Primorski Tehnološki Park and participates in the "EUSAIR POPRI youth" initiative, which aims to foster startup entrepreneurship.

This initiative, exclusively targeting secondary education students from the Region of Crete, invites the participating teams to submit their business ideas for evaluation. Selected teams will have the opportunity to compete internationally in Šibenik, Croatia on May 15 and 16, 2024, alongside teams from other participating countries such as Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Slovenia.

It is important to highlight, that students participating in this activity must be accompanied by a guardian. STEP-C will cover travel and accommodation expenses for 2 members of the team. (Please note that expenses are only covered for the 2 students and not for their guardians).

The submission period begins on April 8, 2024, and ends on April 30, 2024. The best teams will have the chance to present their ideas at an international level during the competition in Šibenik, Croatia, on May 15 and 16, 2024.

STEP-C is the sole Greek organization participating in the "EUSAIR POPRI youth" initiative, with the primary objective of supporting and promoting innovative young entrepreneurship from Crete on an international platform.

This competition, "EUSAIR POPRI youth," is aligned with the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and aims to encourage education and training in innovation and entrepreneurship among young people.
