The Secretary General for Research and Innovation (GSRI) of the Ministry of Development, Dr. Tasos Gaitanis, visited the premises of the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICEHT) of FORTH in Patras on Monday, July 21, 2025. He was welcomed by the Deputy Director, Dr. Vasilis Burganos, and members of the Institute’s Scientific Council.

Dr. Burganos presented the activities of ICEHT, highlighting its cutting-edge technologies, newly established spin-off companies, and ongoing research projects. Particular emphasis was placed on the Institute’s active role in fostering regional economic development. This was followed by a constructive discussion on the current and forthcoming challenges faced by FORTH/ICEHT.
