The application process for the first cycle of the program “Crete Business Incubator – C Nest Accelerator”, implemented in the Region of Crete, has officially begun. To present the actions of this new program, an informative session will be held on September 4, 2025, in Heraklion.

The C Nest Accelerator invites interested businesses and organizations to submit their applications for participation in the program’s first cycle.

The program’s services will be presented at the first open event, which will take place on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at 10:30 am, in the Vasileios Dougalis meeting room of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH).

About C Nest Accelerator

The incubator is a modern support hub for businesses, aiming to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Crete as part of the Fair Transition Development Strategy. Its objectives include promoting innovation, enhancing networking, and increasing the competitiveness of enterprises.

Beneficiaries will have access to a comprehensive support framework, including:

• Targeted advisory services
• Enhancement of innovative capacity
• Access to international networks of investors and partners
• Participation in specialized workshops, seminars, and networking activities

Specifically, participants will be able to access services in:

• Innovation skills development
• Business acceleration consulting (Accelerator)
• Innovation coaching & partner connection

Target Audience

The program is open to participants within the innovation ecosystem of the Region of Crete, particularly in sectors such as:

• Green energy
• Circular economy
• Agri-food
• Creative economy and blue economy
• Information and communication technologies (ICT), among others

Eligible participants include:

• Business entities
• Start-ups in formation
• New and existing enterprises
• Spin-off companies
• Organizations supporting entrepreneurship and innovation

Timeline & Applications

The program has a duration of 36 months, comprising 6 participation cycles, with 30 beneficiary businesses per cycle. The first cycle will start in October 2025 and conclude in February 2026.

Applications can be submitted online, in person, or by post, following the instructions of the call for applications. The deadline for submission is Friday, September 12, 2025, at 17:00.
