The 18th EAI International Conference on Pervasive Computing Technologies for Healthcare will take place at the facilities of FORTH in Heraklion, Crete from 17 to 18 September 2024, with the active participation and co-organization of the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH, and the Center for Research & Technology Hellas.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on September, 7^th, by the Minister of Rural Development and Food, Costas Tsiaras, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas, Professor Nektarios Tavernarakis, and the First Vice President of the Hellenic Agricultural Organization-DIMITRA (ELGO-DIMITRA), Professor Nektarios Vidakis.

FORTH had a dynamic presence at the 88th Thessaloniki International Fair, which took place from 7 to 15 September 2024, with 10 speeches in panel discussions and numerous innovative exhibits, in Pavilion 7 of the Ministry of Development, at the GRSI’s (General Secretariat for Research & Innovation) stand.

The Summer School took place at the premises of FORTH at Heraklion, Crete, Greece, from July 22^nd to August 2^nd 2024

The award-winning software suite "Integrated Care Solutions" (ICS), which has been developed by the Center for eHealth Applications and Services (CeHA) of the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH), was successfully tested this year for its compliance with IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) integration profiles, at an international interoperability capability testing event against third parties.

Το Ίδρυμα Τεχνολογίας και Έρευνας (ΙΤΕ), προκειμένου να επιλέξει ένα (1) μέλος με τον αναπληρωτή (1) του για την συγκρότηση της Γενικής Συνέλευσης του Ελληνικού Ιδρύματος Έρευνας και Καινοτομίας (ΕΛΙΔΕΚ), απευθύνει πρόσκληση σε ενδιαφερομένους διακεκριμένους επιστήμονες στελέχη του ΙΤΕ ή επιστήμονες της ημεδαπής ή της διασποράς να υποβάλουν την υποψηφιότητα τους.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today, Tuesday, July 9th 2024, by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas, Prof. Nektarios Tavernarakis and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Pharmaceutical Association of Heraklion, Mr. Aristotle Skountakis, aiming at the cooperation of the two Organizations/Institutions, for the development of joint scientific activities.

A new research project, funded by the EU with a grant of €14.5 million, has recently begun, with the participation of the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser of the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (IESL-FORTH).

The Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C), Unit of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH), in collaboration with the Primorski Tehnološki Park of Slovenia, participated, once again, in the "EUSAIR POPRI youth" initiative this year. The "EUSAIR POPRI youth" competition is part of the European Commission's Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and promotes the education and training of young people in the field of innovation and entrepreneurship.
