7th International Conference on “Transparent Conductive Materials, IS-TCM 2018”, Chania, 14-19/10/2018

The 7th International Conference on Transparent Conductive Materials, IS-TCM 2018” took place in Minoa Palace Hotel, Platanias, Chania, October 14-19, 2018. The conference was organized by Transparent and oxides group of IESL-FORTH.

This series of conferences, which is being organized in Crete since 2006, hosts the 4th bilateral meeting between the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) with the corresponding Society of Japan (MRS-Japan) for the first time, with more than 60 invited presentations from distinguished Japanese scientists.

TCM2018 aims to utilize the rapidly developing areas of transparent (invisible) electronic materials, gas sensors, electro-chromic and thermo-chromic materials and smart windows in architectural coatings, diodes, liquid crystals and high definition displays which are considered the main candidates of the ²post Si²era of flexible and transparent electronics and deals with global research activities ranging from basic physical properties of materials to the construction and development of devices.

The most up to date accomplishments and latest achievements in transparent (conductive or not) materials with applications in new generation displays and circuits were presented, from leading scientists such as: Prof. H. Hosono (Japan price 2016), Prof. E. Fortunato (Czochralski Award 2017), Prof. T. Marks (ACS Priestley Medal 2017) and many others.
