An important Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Science and Technology Park of Crete (STEP-C) of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) and the «Primorski tehnološki park» (Technology Park of Slovenia) in the context of 'EUSAIR POPRI youth' initiative.

The EU Strategy for the Adriatic and Ionian Region (EUSAIR) is a macro-regional strategy adopted by the European Commission and Adriatic-Ionian Region countries in 2014, giving young people the opportunity to take part in training and education programs related to innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as, to national and international start-up competitions.

The STEP-C is the only organisation from Greece that participates in the "EUSAIR POPRI youth" initiative.
