A memorandum of understanding was signed at FORTH on Wednesday, February 15, 2023, between FORTH’s President, Prof. Nektarios Tavernarakis, and Mr. Kostas Perris, Partner, Consulting Leader of PwC Greece, in the presence of Mr. Ioannis Voutsinos, Director EU Affairs & Funding PwC, Panagiotis Karniouras, Administrative & Finance Director of FORTH’s Central Administration, and Dr. George Papamichail, Director of the Science and Technology Park of Crete.

The aim of the memorandum is to enhance the cooperation between the two organizations, in order to support knowledge-intensive entrepreneurship in matters of research exploitation and improvement of competitiveness, on the basis of innovation. It also aims to support innovation ecosystems in selected geographical and/or thematic areas. Through their cooperation, the two bodies also seek to facilitate the development of skills in the industry and the research community, in order to commercialize the research results and develop a culture of cooperation between the two areas.
