The Visual Arts Group of FORTH holds its 3rd Exhibition of Photography and Painting at the Saint George Gate, Heraklion

The Visual Arts Group of FORTH will open their 3rd exhibition on the 17th of May 2012 at the Saint George Gate, which is located next to the Freedom’s Square, Heraklion.

In the transient times which we currently experience, when everything fits into an inquiry about tomorrow then the best expression of our exhibition can only be a question mark "?".

The Visual Arts Group joins people who are working at different research institutes of FORTH in Heraklion and who beyond their contribution to the transfer and development of technology and knowledge, engage in cultural activities such as photography and painting and consider art an important part of their life.

The exhibition will be open 8.30am to 2.30pm & 6pm to 9pm every day, starting from the 17th of May until the 24th of May 2012. The inauguration will take place on the 17th of May 2012 at 8.30pm at the Saint George Gate.

The Visual Arts Group of FORTH was established more than 3 years ago. Their 1st exhibition with the title “Group Escape”, which opened on the 1st of June 2010 and lasted until the 10th of June 2010 at the Vitturi Bastion, was well received thus encouraging the members of the group to continue to share their passion for art. This led to new efforts of exploring and expressing through photography and painting resulting in the 2nd exhibition in 2011 and now in a 3rd exhibition.
