The Foundation for Research & Technology-Hellas and the University of Crete organized a scientific symposium to honor Eleftherios N. Economou’s 85^th birthday, on June 30, 10:00-16:00. In the symposium “From electrons to elastic and electromagnetic waves” distinguished international scientists spoke about the fundamental principles and the current developments in topics that E. N. Economou has worked on throughout his career.
