IDEON: FORTH’s Creativity Club for Educators

Τhe Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH) launches a new initiative entitled “IDEON: FORTH’s Creativity Club for Educators”, implemented within the framework of the action “epikoinonITE” (a Greek acronym for: Science-Society-FORTH) and held under the auspices of the Region of Crete.

The IDEON Creativity Club for Educators is addressed to educators of all educational levels who wish to integrate creativity into their teaching practice, either with or without the use of technologies such as Artificial Intelligence. At the same time, it aims to foster a dynamic learning community that learns, experiments, and evolves collectively.

The Club's monthly meetings will take place at the FORTH’s Science and Cultural Center (Averof & Zografou Streets, Heraklion). Each meeting will last about one and a half hours and will combine experiential learning with creative dialogue. The initiative will be implemented on a pilot basis from December 2025 to June 2026 and will involve fifty participants.

The club’s meetings will include:

  • experiential workshops that cultivate imagination and collaboration
  • discussion and exchange of practical applications
  • collaboration between participants and organizers
  • presentation of creative works and educational initiatives

The Scientific Coordinator of the Club is Dr. Dimitris Grammenos, Principal Researcher at the Institute of Computer Science of FORTH. Dr. Stella-Marina (Marilia) Kostaki, a primary school teacher, serves as a Scientific Associate.
