Two-Day Training Seminar “Cybersecurity: Contemporary Challenges & the New Law 5160/2024”
The Region of Crete, in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Authority FORTH organized a two-day training seminar entitled “Cybersecurity: Contemporary Challenges & the new Law 5160/2024”, which took place on June 26–27 in Heraklion.
The seminar featured presentations by the Governor of the National Cybersecurity Authority, Dr. Michail Bletsas, the Deputy Governor for Operational Planning, Dr. Yiannis Pavlosoglou, as well as senior officials of the Authority.
Participants were informed about the National Cybersecurity Strategy, while the following key topics were addressed:
- the evolution of the cyber threat landscape
- impacts on public organizations and businesses
- fundamental principles of cybersecurity protection
- technical and organizational measures to prevent and mitigate cyberattacks
- protection of critical infrastructures
- requirements and obligations arising from Law 5160/2024
- available digital licenses and cybersecurity tools
Participation was free of charge. The sessions on June 26 and 27 was held from 09:00 to 15:00 at the premises of FORTH in Heraklion (Main Building, “Georgios Lianis” Auditorium).
