ENISA-FORTH Summer School on Network and Information Security

Internet-connected systems are subject to millions of online attacks every day. Internet users on the other hand are plagued by malware, spam, phishing, and other malicious activities. Besides the constantly increasing number of security incidents, we are witnessing a steady rise in attack sophistication. During the last few years, there has been a decline in the number of massive easy-to-spot global epidemics, and a shift towards more targeted and evasive attacks. At the same time, cyber-criminals, motivated by significant financial gains, constantly devise new deception and exploitation methods. Raising awareness and understanding the issues involved is of paramount importance.

The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and the Institute of Computer Science of the Foundation for Research and Technology - Hellas (FORTH-ICS) welcome you to the jointly organized Summer School on Network and Information Security. The Summer School's aim is to bring together experts in Information Security, policy members from EU Member States and EU Institutions, decision makers from the industry as well as members of the research and academic community.

Each year the Summer School will have a special "Theme" which will focus the topics, steer the selection of speakers, and guarantee that each year the Summer School provides a fresh look at cutting-edge and interesting topics. The Theme for the 2008 Summer School is "Network Security".
