The candidate will participate in the R&D work of FORTH within the AFRICAI-RI project. We are looking for a Software Engineer focusing in the development of medical imaging based AI models for the classification of Tuberculosis to be part of a multidisciplinary team, designing, developing and implementing the project’s technical platform for medical imaging data storage, and implementing a trustworthy AI toolkit for diagnostic imaging. Required qualifications: o University degree in Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering or equivalent. o MSc degree with specialization in image analysis o Excellent command of English. Desired qualifications: o Knowledge and expertise with machine and deep learning in the domain of biomedicine o Knowledge and expertise with image processing and/or computer vision o Prior experience with development of biomedical software o Experience with C++, java, and/or python scientific programming and machine learning frameworks o Experience with National or European research projects, related to biomedical informatics.
